And now for the long-awaited, eagerly anticipated, ever-so-clever Writing Journal Announcement. Introducing...

...where I plan to write for 15-20 minutes each day. The hope is that this will keep my writing muscles limber and perhaps plant a few seeds for new novels or short stories, which I can then develop, polish, and submit...somewhere. :) I'm sure some of what I write will be atrocious, too, but y'all are welcome to come visit and comment as you please.

As for the journal's name, thanks, Czarina and ludzu_alus, for all your help. In the end I was struck by Dan Fogelberg's "Scarecrow's Dream." It captures some of what I feel about writing, and while the whole song is beautiful, it's the refrain that inspired the journal's name:

And if you ever hear me calling out
And if you've been by paupers crowned
Between the worlds of men and make-believe I can be found

And how true is that, yeah?

Apparently I have nothing better to do today than waste time...mine as well as yours. But I stumbled on the meme, did it, spent way too much time making it pretty, and now have to post it. Oh, well. At least I resisted indulging in the What You've Been Blogging About Collage...sorta.
