'cuz fanfic solves everything

I just finished watching The Amazing Spider-Man, which I enjoyed. But is it weird that I thought the most interesting character in the film was Flash Thompson, the school bully? I'm kinda hoping they do something with him. ....Or maybe I can find some fanfic.
