It's been rather difficult to get into the Christmas spirit this year. ...Something about being a Retail Slave---and dealing with folks who'd prefer not to read their own addresses, let alone enter a bookstore---and struggling to make old traditions mesh with this new place. The holidays dropped in on me all unawares.

But tonight we managed to decorate our tree, falling into the same rhythm as always, and watch A Muppet Christmas Carol as we always do...albeit as a brand new DVD on our lovely new TV. I think the holiday will still feel a little condensed, squashed as it is for me between two working days, but at least I feel it's properly arrived. And properly welcomed.
