Day 18: Favorite hymn or religious song
Most of the hymns I know are from my days at church camp. The church I attended for most of my life wasn't big on singing: we'd sing a little, but never enough for the songs to really stick in my memory. So when I think about hymns, what immediately comes to mind are simple melodies designed for young voices and accompanied by a guitar. For that reason, I can't find an audio for them that I really like. The closest I come is this music-only version of "As the Deer." Imagine it with minimal fussing and you'll have the hymn I most love to sing. Of professionally performed hymns---that I also love to sing---my favorite is probably "I'll Fly Away."
