Sev and his son are back, trailing post-vacation chaos behind them—there are ingredients to be properly stored, work to catch up on, and so many stories about roller coasters to tell! I'm leaving them to it, and since I've enjoyed choosing the last two days' quizzes based on a person (
Elessar and then
сестра), I figured I'd try centering today's quizzes on my new sister-in-law. I'm still getting to know her, but I think these play into her interests,
even if just a little. |
LammasLammas is the celebration of the first harvest of the year. It is normally celebrated in early August. It is usually celebrated by having a large feast with friends and family. |
What Wiccan Sabbat Are You? |
That's definitely my type of celebration. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday precisely because it's a large feast with friends and family. And I do love that time of year, the slant of the sunlight and how alive everything is—even in places where early August is very hot. I wonder if changing harvest dates would also change the date of the Sabbat. Not just from northern to southern hemispheres, but within the hemisphere where crops ripen at different times in different places. Wicca feels very anchored to a northern European climate.

The Minimalist“A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” That is how you look at life. Despite your struggles in life you have always managed to come out strong. People wonder how you always manage to keep it together. What they do not know is that you see opportunity in every challenge, you seek victory in every obstacle. The tattoo best suited for you would include small symbols that represent something unique in your life, or small scripts depicting an adage that you live by. The size of your tattoo might be small, but you are definitely big on life! |
What Tattoo Goes Best with Your Personality? |
I have tried to view obstacles as opportunities for growth, and I relish the occasional challenge, but my perspective on those things feels more complicated than this result describes. Even so, if I did have a tattoo, I would want it to represent something meaningful, and I'd probably choose a design that was fairly simple or understated. So much of what I've loved over my life, though, has soured if I lean too hard on it, and that's made me leery of ever putting something so permanent on my body. I want the things I love to stay joyful and fresh, and if that means never having a tattoo, I'm all right with that.

hiivaleipaYour vibes: hand-woven baskets; honeycombs; misty clearings in the woods // You're quiet and introspective. You're kind and wise. There is a slight chance you're a fae... |
What Kind of Bread Are You? |
Ha, what an excellent bread for possibly being fae! I'm probably drawing too much from
Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries, but bread (and the general area of origin for this one), honeycombs, and misty clearings in the woods are such a good match to that book's depiction of the brownie, Poe. I do like those vibes, and the description of myself seems pretty accurate. ...Though if I'm a fae, kindness and wisdom are probably wishful thinking.
