I've spent so much time these last few days listening---to audio books and to lectures---that now I can't bear the silence. I feel somehow incomplete in a quiet room. Strange, isn't it, how swiftly a mind and body can adjust to a set of circumstances or an environment? I wonder how long it'll take me to get back to normal.

And yes, this is a hanger-on, but I couldn't help posting it, anyway. ( Even though the Week of the Killer Quizzes is over. )
