for the work i do

I've spent so much time these last few days listening---to audio books and to lectures---that now I can't bear the silence. I feel somehow incomplete in a quiet room. Strange, isn't it, how swiftly a mind and body can adjust to a set of circumstances or an environment? I wonder how long it'll take me to get back to normal.

And yes, this is a hanger-on, but I couldn't help posting it, anyway. Even though the Week of the Killer Quizzes is over.

I love that even in an absurd quiz like this one, I still come up as Ravenclaw. Er, that is, Walcnevar. And the banner is all my doing. Alas, this quiz doesn't come with graphics, but I couldn't do without a rallying image of our Pet Rock. I'm sorry this took so long. Apart from the usual school nonsense, this particular banner required toggling back and forth between my two graphics programs. One wouldn't make the raw materials the way I wanted them, and the other turns all shades of red into wonky cousins of themselves. So I did the raw materials in one and put everything together in the other. And the poor little weasel wouldn't draw itself for me. Grr...anyway, it's here at last. Lookin' odd but not quite evil, I'm afraid.
