They say grocery stores are good places to meet people. I'm not sure if that's true, but I did just meet a very charming fellow whilst choosing chocolate. Of course, he actually works there, but we did have a lovely conversation about chocolate, port, beer that tastes like chocolate, Oktoberfest, and lentil soup, and while I'm notoriously bad about interpreting these things, I think he might have been interested. I may just go back next week and see if he's interested enough to ask me out.

Day 13: Favorite musical artist
Dan Fogelberg. Did you even have to ask? I think I've blogged about him at least three times. (How do I love thee? Let me count the ways: one...two...three....) But just in case you missed it the first time, I'll just say briefly that if any one artist represented the soundtrack of my life, he would be it. Practically my every moment is threaded with his words, his music. He was an immensely talented musician, dabbling in jazz, country, bluegrass, and rock while maintaining his folk roots. And the loss of him still has the power to make me weep.
