Back from the wilds! Of car camping, admittedly, but when you're juggling old, broken-down tents, two small children, and a dog, car camping is wild enough! Still, this morning when we were all sitting around, mellow with the early chill, sipping hot drinks while the kids amused themselves with all the dirt and bugs to discover, I wished we could stay for a few more days.

Day 16: Five songs you’d definitely play on a road trip
What perfect timing that this should accompany my return from a mini road trip:

• "Play Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues)" - Three Dog Night
  Because a road trip just isn't complete without Three Dog Night.
• "Buildings & Mountains" - The Republic Tigers
  A rolling, smooth-moving song for those long, open stretches of highway.
• "Oh No You Didn't" - Wojahn Bros Music
  Because a road trip needs a funny song to sing along to.
• "Locomotive Breath" - Jethro Tull
  Fast-paced and churning for those high-volume traffic times...and for when you want to kill the stupid drivers around you.
• "Ventura Highway" - America
  Because you need at least one song about The Road.

This was a lot easier than choosing my soundtrack songs. I think I must spend too much time behind the wheel....
