Yes!! Exult! Exult! Just when I thought it wouldn't happen, Inspiration has struck. With a feather, granted, to the tip of my nose, but even an inspired sneeze is good enough at this point. Finally! A Truly Compelling beginning! It's slightly vague yet, but that's fine with me. At least it *works*!! Maybe Brian Froud is right (see: Good Faeries/Bad Faeries) and all I had to do was ask the Inspiration Faery for a favor. Well, thank you, darling IF. Much, *much* appreciated....

And I'm not even to the point where I need to write yet. That is, I'm still dragging my ankles out of the research mire---think I've lost my toes for good this time---and so don't feel guilty for not spending hours writing. I'm aiming to be ready for *that* torture by Monday. Should have finished making very colorful, organized, pretty notes on Faeryland and Her Denizens by then. One hopes, at any rate.

And then it'll be writing writing writing, nary a free moment for taking quizzes, posting nonsense here (ha!!), or reading Harry Potter fanfic. (Yes, have finally been sucked in. Only took four books and a persistent belief in the---as yet---non-canon Ginny/Harry love match. I have absolutely no resistance when it comes to pairings. Must read, must read, must read.... Oy. As if I *needed* yet another fanfic universe to distract me. ::whimper::)
