"too much to please me"
All right. So I know I'm not the sort to suffer fools gladly. I'm impatient and critical and not a little harsh. But I also try and keep a lid on it---benefit of the doubt, yadda, yadda, etc.---most of the time. Lately, though? Ye gods!! It's been *raining* the cursed creatures. So, please, forgive me my wee rant.

This chick, not much older than me, on one of the previously lj-ed cliquey, tyrannical message boards---in a position of power, no less. Good heavens! Does she *never* have anything intelligent to say? Does she even know how to use her dictionary? Why can't she answer a simple question (one asked, oh, five different times)? And, really, must she be so reactionary? Not everything is about human weakness or tyrannical leaders or pedophiles---especially not in a *children's* book, for goodness' sake!

And this guy...is he blind? He cannot possibly be unaware that all four of his original characters are Mary Sues. Normally I don't even mind the bloody things, but when you're killing off perfectly good canon characters (and owls!!) to substitute pale imitations, I have to draw the line. Ick! And it would be a good story, too, if only he'd get a damn clue!

And, lastly, this chick, writes an lj. Don't typically agree with anything she has to say, but she does some interesting memes. (anyone find themselves in the same boat, here? ;D) But today...oy! Blah, blah, work is sucky, blah, this girl asked for a tiny bit of help, blah, blah, I told her to do it herself, blah, everyone I work with is a bastard. Normally, I'd be struck by the irony and laugh. But it's become something of a theme and, honestly, where on earth does she get off calling everyone *else* a bastard? Passive agressive witch....

There. Rant concluded. Completely incomprehensible, I know, but anyone can drift in and see these things, so specifics shall not be included. I feel better, though, so thank you for bearing with me. :)

On a lighter note, Gilmore Girls was on tonight. Quite a delightful episode (much Logan-ness, so I couldn't really think otherwise), but I feel as though I have to watch it another five times to really get everything out of it. *Such* a hardship. ::wink:: Probably'll help if I go read any post-ep fanfic at Illusive. Sigh. I love Logan. :D

I started just at the end of last season. I think I might've told you that, while the show's always kind of interested me, all the Luke/Lorelai near-romance-misses drove me bonkers. So it wasn't until they finally got their act together that I began watching. *Much* less nerve-wracking that way. ;)

Now, though, I'm all about the Rory/Logan story...especially as I've decided that I need a Logan. Don't you think he'd be good for me, making me jump off seven-foot scaffolding and talk without using the letter "e" and drink champagne to excess? If nothing else, he'd bloody well provide me enough story fodder to last a lifetime.... :D

So, yes, I can officially discuss many things Gilmore Girls...we'll have to go for coffee and add it to the loooong list of stuff to chat about. Knowing us, we'll likely start out ranting about serious stuff and digress into analyzing the exact nature of Rory's love affairs.

:) I love that we do that.

Cheers, darling!

(or 'Quila...which I must go add to my list of nicknames in one of these many memes...see what happens when I don't see you in months? I forget who I am!)
