suffering the fools again....
If only all fools were like Robin Hobb's Fool, my life would be so much easier. ::stifling rant:: Deep breaths, K. Deeeep breaths. Suffer the fools. Suffer them. Suffer 'em! (And, no, that is *not* the same thing as make them suffer....)

::whining:: This is *hard*. ::headdesk::

But this is nifty: there's a book I've been recommending to any poor soul who will listen---Robin McKinley's Sunshine. Recently, I found out that it won the 2004 Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Adult Literature...which is one of four awards given to the work that "best exemplifies the spirit of the Inklings" (Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Charles Williams). Haha! See?! See?! I *do* have taste!!! Sometimes.

Would really like to get that award, myself. ::pondering:: But I suppose I need to have a novel published first, huh?

Bother.

But you know, sometimes it would be nice if they did mean the same thing. And feel free to rant, no need to stifle. :)

I enjoyed Sunshine but I remember having the feeling that a sequel was in order. I've never heard of the Mythopoeic Fantasy Award, though it does sound very nifty.

Happy writing, future Mythopoeic Fantasy Award winner!
