make me believe
Got a review today for the one and only fanfic I've written...the one I finished waaaay back in November. To say it was a pleasant surprise is a vast understatement. All these months later, to receive a review from someone who's just discovered it? I'm...awed, delighted, thrilled. Especially since, in my experience, readers don't review unless they're encouraging an author to update a WIP or so impressed that they can't contain their enthusiasm. As my fic is obviously not a WIP.... *squee*

Couldn't have come at a better time, either. I've been stranded a rather unusually long time in the Doldrums, and my writing's been suffering along with everything else. To have just this bit of encouragement has been a breath of much-needed breeze in my sails. No guarantees, I suppose, but I'll enjoy every bit of movement for as long as it lasts.

But I did promise quizzes, did I not? Had a job hunting 'em down, believe you me. Sev? If you please?

Which Disney Character is your Alter Ego?

Yeah. They *misunderstand* me. Right. ;) Like that Peter Pan is second, though. Especially now I've read the book.

You scored as Emerald. Positive yet caring, sensitive and simply divine, emerald-types have the qualities of a perfect friend. They value loyalty and inner contentment, and have time to stand by and listen when someone has a hardship to face. They also seem to have a good memory as well, as it is something the gems themselves promote. See All Results/Comment

Which Old School Nickelodeon Show Are You?
created with QuizFarm.com

YES!!!! Took me about seven tries to get this result---and I never lied!! no, I didn't!!!---but I am *happy*! I adored this show...probably still would, if I could find the DVDs they've just released and watch them again. Such oddity, such delightful strangeness. And Artie, "The Strongest Man---" striking superhero pose, "---in the World!"

Sigh. Shall have to hunt up more quizzes sometime...tomorrow, maybe? It'll be Week of the Killer Quizzes!

I thought I'd seen/heard it before. I knew I should have known what that meant.

I did get a chance to read Chap. 1 and enjoyed it. I'm definitely planning on going back to read the rest. You know, you're story may be the first ever complete fanfic story that I read. From what little I know of the show (maybe seen 2 or 3 episodes?), the characters and dialog seem to fit very well. Being the age that we are, I think it makes sense that you feel most comfortable writing young adult/teen characters.

And so many reviews! I haven't looked at them but I'm assuming all of them are raves. ;) Maybe when I'm done I can add my own!

Oh! That would be lovely! But, please, don't feel pressured to read. And definitely don't feel pressured to "rave." In fact, if you see stuff that is just blatantly unbelievable, let me know. This is the first romance I've ever written, and considering my experience (ha!), I wouldn't be in the least surprised to find that the Rocky Road to Love that I've written is possessed of several sinkholes and the occasional pothole, maybe even a Bridge Out or two. ;)

For all that, if you do read it, I hope you, er, enjoy....
