more library woes
Finally managed to lie my way into a library card. Discovered that, no, there isn't an interlibrary loan system---where you can borrow books from other libraries---that, yes, if I want a book not in stock, I can visit the reference people and ask them to find it somewhere nearby. But---get this---*I* get to *pay* for the nearby library to ship it over.

Bloody unbelievable. Not to mention unacceptable. This is an affluent town. They should have an *amazing* library. They should have an interlibrary loan. At the very bleeding least, they should not force their patrons to pay to receive books. I can't even use my library card at the next-town-over's library.

Star Wars Quiz!! I can't believe you found a decent one though I do wish they had more choices and that the questions were a little less obvious. Still it was fun. So we are all Obi-Wan. I'm surprised I'm 100% compatible. not necessarily a bad thing and I think it's a tie between him and Yoda for my favorite Star Wars character. I wonder what the Chewbacca description is.

I was also a Staff and the Harlequin.

The real secret to our friendship: deep down, we're all Obi-Wan Kenobi. ;) As for Chewbacca, his description goes, "Weird and hairy you are, but super cool too. You're not much of a talker, but more of a moaner...you are best friends with the coolest guy in the galaxy and are often under appreciated, but hey that's life as a wookie. :)" I'm likin' that mention of Han.

As for the SW quiz, you have *no* idea how tough it was to find one even *this* subtle. Sheesh. Most were like, "You have kissed your brother" or "You kill people with Force lightning." Uh. Yeah. Right. But, yes, I wish this quiz had more options. Like Mara Jade. Or WEDGE!! Oh, yeah. I am *so* Wedge Antilles, man! :D

Nifty you're a fellow Staff. And the Harlequin result doesn't surprise me...for you or Czarina. (And go Czarina, our resident great sword...I kept trying to skew my results to get short sword, but I'd have to lie to do it...which is simply not in keeping with the Week of Killer Quizzes. Integrity must will out. Dammit.)

Thank you, my sword can always be counted on. But Staffs are a truck load more practical in a lot of situations, and the subject of that hysterically funny Daffy Duck cartoon. Ho-ha ha- he- ho-parry thrust- DOYYYYYYNG!
