On one of the message boards I frequent, there's a little section for anyone seeking Advice. Which is really quite nice, if you trust the judgement of the board patrons. Anyway, just yesterday one of the board moderators posted a problem she's having with her family---her mother, specifically. Whole bunch of folks jumped in with advice, mostly saying the same thing, and then today, who should post a response? The mod's *dad*, berating his daughter for bringing the issue out in public instead of discussing it directly with her parents.

Holy Humiliation, Batman! ::wince:: Makes me wonder whether anyone'll respond to the dad, though. People are *weird*!!
