Almost overnight everything has gone green here. We've had a good few days of pounding, monsoon-type rain---turning the depression across the street into a lake, puddling in my backyard, sheening inch-thick on the streets---and when the sun returned the trees had frothed into new growth, the grass threaded with bright green. Nothing's in bloom yet, but the edges of winter are most certainly blunted.

Apropos, really, considering that (at *last*!) we've reached the 12-week mark and I can share: I'm going to be an auntie. Rose Red and Dragon are preggers. Well only Rose Red if you want to get technical, but Dragon played a significant part. ;)
