I am now the proud---and grateful!---recipient of one of the scholarships at the University of South Carolina. That includes a monetary award, which is very nice, but also means I get in-state tuition for the coming school year. Assuming I'm tallying it up right, I'll actually be saving more from the in-state status than the award itself. It's not quite the tuition remission offered by the Ph.D. programs that accepted me when I considered human factors psychology, but then a master's in library science doesn't require a six-year commitment, either. :)
