One week of five completed, and so far I'm managing to balance readings and lectures and assignments and work. Let's hope I can keep that up, but in the meantime, I think a wee celebration is in order. So...a good book and that grass skirt Sev brought home for me. ::swish, swish of grass skirt:: And quizzes. Of course, quizzes.

Alas. Looks like I'm not terribly likely to survive a zombie apocalypse. Y'all will probably end up having to kill me. But just to clarify, I'm okay with that: I'd much prefer death to zombiehood.
I guess I do have rather British features. Only my mouth is not that tiny cupid's bow, rosebud shape. And I think I rather prefer this Reynolds to the one pictured above.

I love Crown Duel. I love Sherwood Smith. (She actually has a livejournal:
sartorias.) And I thought I'd probably be Vidanric. Weird, though, that I seem to be closest to the male characters in a lot of books I read. In Harry Potter I'm Lupin or Harry. In Pride and Prejudice I'm closer to Darcy than Elizabeth. In Robin Hobb's trilogy of trilogies I'm Fitz. And that's not even considering my counterparts in TV shows or movies. Crazy.
...Hee. Whilst exploring Sherwood Smith's writing community,
athanarel, I stumbled upon a lj for the small press publishing Sword & Sorceress:
norilanabooks. How cool is that?!? I'm gonna have to haunt it for press releases and stuff.

![]() Fun, comforting, and friendly. You are a true classic, and while you're not super cutting edge, you're high quality. People love your company - and have even been known to get addicted to you. |

![]() You have the Reynolds girl look. Reynolds girls had the typical British beauty. The eighteenth century British portrait painters would have been attracted by your brilliant complexion and your classical features. Sir Joshua Reynolds loved to paint girls like you in white dresses with blue satin sashes. Reynolds and other portrait painters of his time also portrayed blue eyed, dark-haired girls, and golden-haired ones too, plus the occasional red-head. The following painters would have painted you: Sir Joshua Reynolds and Sir Thomas Lawrence. |
