and may God rest ye, too....
Mighty Christmas!

Or Happy Christmas. I've recently learned that in the song "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," the word "rest" means "keep" and the word "merry" means "mighty." So I'm currently incapable of hearing "Merry Christmas" without thinking "Mighty Christmas." And since that's how I feel about the holiday, anyway, I figure that's all right.

I am indeed here, back in TX...but, alas, no snow. Just really cold wind. Brrrr! Still, I'm enjoying myself, especially since all my immediate family is visiting, including my (not-so) wee nephew, who has spent most of the holiday addressing balls and light fixtures and the dog and our fish, calling them by a multitude of vaguely name-like sounds. I'm all settled into my apartment, though, which feels nicely homey now. How's your holiday been? Any interesting B&N stories to share?

Alas, no. In fact, our northerly counterparts (Rose Red and family) are visiting here in TX for the holiday. I swear, though, one of these days I'll make it back up there to visit everyone. Maybe for the 10-year reunion. I'm determined to drag [livejournal.com profile] mneme_metis and anyone else I can to that thing. Heeheehee.
