pieces of thee
[livejournal.com profile] ludzu_alus always seems to find the memes I can't help but pass on. Er. That is, I don't *pass* on them---I think Satan'll be hosting ski vacations before I pass on a meme---but I do pass them *on*. Yup. Sooo....

Comment and I'll...

1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.

In return, you must post this in your LJ. (Okay, not really. But if you do, and you want me to, I'd be happy to come visit.)

Any takers?

How could I not? You're czarina! We're already friends...this just makes it LJ-official. :)

2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
Deep blue-violet. "Christine." Elephants (in the best possible way). The X-Files.

3. Tell you something I like about you.
Your loyalty to your friends. Your mad acting/writing/directing skills!

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
I don't remember what year it was, but you had a costume party once at your/your mom's apartment building. I don't even remember what everyone dressed up as (although I know I was Milady de Winter), but I remember you flitting about, butterfly-hostess, making sure everyone was engaged with and enjoying the party. I had a great time.

5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
The poetry that you wrote when you were in high school: do you still write it? Did you ever get it published? Did you ever want to publish it?

6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
The Holy Hand Grenade.

Poetry from High School, nope not writing it any more. But I do journal a fair amount (and am working on doing so more) which really gets funneled into playwrighting/monologist work. Though, I have a secret desire to write a song.... And no, I am no where near as cool as you to get published.

I'm taking too! (For some reason I didn't see that you posted this and only saw czarina's. How I managed that, I do not know.)

No worries. I'm just glad you're here...and that I finally have a moment to respond. :)

1. Tell you why I friended you.
Well. First it was because of [livejournal.com profile] a_fair_hand but then it became a really great way to keep in touch. But I never friended you because I liked you. Not at *all*. So don't go thinking we're friends or anything.... :D

2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
Gilmore Girls. Maroon. Or maybe cobalt blue. "You Can Call Me Al." Nicknames. Cows. Pigs. Epic, Gothic Sagas.

3. Tell you something I like about you.
That you are one of the only people I actually enjoy talking on the phone with...and that implies so much about who you are.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
You sitting in front of me in reading class in 6th grade. Your hair was so, so long, I used to marvel at it...and how you always managed to avoid sitting on it.

5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
Have you ever wanted to live abroad...that is, somewhere you've never been before? And where would you go, if you could?

6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
Your Gorey "P" by czarina.

You know, for a time when I was younger, I did think I'd like to live in England when I was older. But honestly, the current me is probably too timid to move abroad without ever having been to the place before, unless there was a pressing need to do it. At this point, my connections to people here probably would outweigh my desire to live somewhere else. However, I do think it's possible that I'd change my mind. If I were to go, I think I'm still partial to the UK, with Italy being a runner up. (That is of course knowing minimal things about either place outside my romantic notions.)

Don't be scared. It'll be a *good* experience, O Graduated Lady.

1. Tell you why I friended you.
Guilt. Pure and simple. I'm the one who goaded you into getting a LJ of your own, so of *course* I had to friend you. And then of course, there's the fact that we're actually friends. ;)

2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
Horses. Lying in grassy fields staring up at the sky. Shopping. Ballet. Mint green. Harry Potter.

3. Tell you something I like about you.
Your animal knowledge and how readily you retain factual information. That we're stuck in this library thing together. Your steely self-confidence.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
Unwinding in your apartment, drinking way too much of that bullfrog stuff, reciting your favorite poems (as I recited mine), and showing off your dancin' moves.

5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
If you had all the necessary skills and money, would you rather work with horses or be a professional ballerina? And what kind of horse/ballet work would you want to be doing?

6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
The pink tutu on black.

I almost feel like a traitor to admit that if (and that's a BIG if) I had all the necessary skills and money I would rather be a ballerina, but only a prima ballerina assoluta. I would only be the best! I think it's because dance is an avenue to express pure emotion without censure (unless you suck, of course). Thanks chickie, we'll have to chew on some turkey in graduation celebration or even bust out some worms. Ole!
