...and i'm your host
Welcome, welcome, one and all to the annual Week of the Killer Quizzes! Yes, the time has come once again, folks, to celebrate the utter randomness of the internet in a blitzkrieg of quizzes. Joining me here today is my trusty co-conspirator, Sev. Wave to the lads at home, Sev. ::grumbling eye roll:: Or not. He may not look like it, folks, but rest assured, Sev is one of our biggest fans. Isn't that right, Sev? ::long, airy sigh:: Haha. Methinks he doth protest too much....

But you're not here to revel in Sev's shadowy façade, deliciously dark though it is. You're here for the Week of the Killer Quizzes. So once again, welcome. Welcome to this first Sunday of June, to this first day of June, as we indulge in a little quizzical amusement.

I'm a Comet 260!

The HP Broomstick Quiz
made by Sapphire.

Not quite equal to the Cafe Racer motorcycle my dad's always thought I'd be, but it describes me fairly well, nonetheless. At the moment, I'm particularly fond of the "you'll never have trouble finding a place in any situation you're in" bit. I'll take that to mean that if I just wait a little longer, I won't feel quite so awkward at work. Oy.

Caroline Bingley
Pride & Prejudice

Ah, the ever-desperate Miss Bingley. You aren't a horrible person, just a little mean-spirited and arrogant. You do value money, status, manners, and style, but not as much as your man. You try to live up to the morals you were raised with, but your selfishness tends to win out in the end. You tend also to be passive-aggressive with your enemies, rather than confronting them to their faces.

"To walk three miles, or four miles, or five miles, or whatever it is, above her ankles in dirt, and alone, quite alone! what could she mean by it? It seems to me to shew an abominable sort of conceited independence, a most country town indifference to decorum."
~ Miss Bingley in reference to Lizzie's walk to Netherfield.

Which Jane Austen Female Villain Are You?

All right! Selfish and passive-aggressive! That's *so* me. Watch yourself, Miss Eliza, I'm coming after your man....

Testriffic.com

I don't always speak my mind when I know it'll anger someone, but the rest of it seems to fit. And I love the idea of being a sentry. But that might have something to do with the fact that I watched Tin Man again last night. D'you think if I'm a sentry, I can wear a duster, fancy holster, six shooter, and Akubra hat just like Cain? *Awesome*....

1. I don't know what I am - the results page wouldn't display. :(

2. I'm Mary Crawford from Mansfield Park. I'm selfish and greedy and have modern ideas.

3. I'm a Maverick. Creative, smart, self reliant, unique, own drummer, yada, yada. :)

1. I am a Swiftstick! - Wild and a little difficult to control you can be difficult to have on a team. Even loose cannons stop to reload once and a while, but you just keep on going. It might make things frustrating for those around you, but no one could ever say life was dull...

2. Mary Crawford
(Mansfield Park)
You are a delightful, beautiful creature who seems to care only about herself. You tend to value money and fun above everything else, but you're always great to be around. Love is something you desire, but your value of modern ideas and of money can keep you from really feeling it. Your values are...questionable, but most people never even notice.
"Selfishness must always be forgiven, you know, because there is no hope for a cure."-Mary Crawford

3. A Maverick

Ludzu, you weren't a Swiftstick by any chance?

The results page still won't show me a picture for the HP Broomstick one - the only thing I can read says I'm a "Shooting Star!"

I went and messed about on the quiz site. The results image doesn't come up, but when I right-clicked it and selected "view image," I could see it.

"Shooting Star: Some have style, others have substance. You try to have both, but you can't shake the feeling that you come up a little short in both departments. Remember the saying 'jack of all trades is master of none' - specialising isn't necessarily a bad thing..."

1. Oakshaft 79: You're built to last, and you'll probably be around a lot longer than most of those around you. Some might call you 'boring,' but you're more likely to hear words like 'solid,' 'dependable,' and 'trustworthy.'

I sound dull indeed.

I can't say that I really agree.

3. Test wouldn't give me a result. I blame by firewall or some such, or the fact that my comment is a year late.

I think your Oakshaft 79 and Mary Crawford results must balance one another out. You must be solid, dependable, and trustworthy, but also bold and modern and willing to go for what you want...and money is important, even if it's not everything to you. (Hello, student loans!)

And I think it must be the firewall, because when I clicked the third quiz's link, it went right to it. Maybe try it again on another computer? I'd love to know what you get....
