budget goes snip, snip
Just as I'm starting to adjust to the quirks of the position, the staff, the organization---just as I'm starting to feel I can really contribute something---it looks as though I'll probably lose this job. Criminy, I'm tired.

Me too! I mean, I'd like to think that if I did lose it, I could go back to work at B&N, but I have no idea if they're in a position to hire anyone right now, either. So who knows where I'd end up. Bother. This is clearly the time to get my novel-writing on.

Any news on this front? That does kind of suck that it has to come just when you were getting settled. :(

Sigh. Tell me about it. And so far, all I know is that I'll find out for certain on my birthday. Joy! (My branch is organizing a bowling night after work that day, so we can all go out and let off some steam...and drink. I suspect there will be a lot of drinking.)
