ev'ry morning just the same

I woke up cold this morning, the first time this season, and while normally this time of year leaves me feeling a little sad as the summer sun and heat begins to fade, my first thought upon waking was, "Tea! I can drink pots and pots of tea today!" I blame the Regency romance novel I just finished reading....

So while I sit here contemplating whether I truly want to drink pots of tea---I'm really more of a coffee person---I figure it's the perfect day to begin

Day 01: First album you ever bought

So many of my earliest albums were gifts that it's hard to recall which ones I bought myself. But I think it may have been the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack. I bought it on tape and still keep it in my car, which has the only tape player I still own.

I totally had the "Beauty and the Beast" tape also -- or rather, my mom did. :) I remember her playing it in the car all the time when my brother and I were little. Such a great soundtrack and a great Disney movie!

Also, what Regency romance did you read? Was it any good?

It's funny: I listened to some of the soundtrack online while I was writing this entry, and I was surprised at how it took me back to listening to it over and over when I was so much younger. Watching the movie doesn't do that---I think I've seen it too many times---but the music has a definite connection to that younger self.

And the Regency romance was The Redwyck Charm (http://www.elenagreene.com/redwyck.html) by Elena Greene. I'm not sure if it's everyone's cuppa, but I liked it. It's one of Signet's sweet, short romances, which are some of my favorites, and even though I was a little dubious about the premise, I found I really enjoyed the way the author handled it. Plus it featured that rarest of romance heroes---a goodhearted, inexperienced man who is neither an emasculated pushover nor a humorless moralist. :)
