Day 07: A song that makes you smile
"Mr. Blue Sky" - Electric Light Orchestra
Pretty much anything by ELO will make me smile, but I think "Mr. Blue Sky" may be my favorite. Unless we start getting into the soundtrack for Xanadu, in which case I might have some trouble deciding which songs rank the highest. Gene Kelly and 40s-style trios complicate my rating system....

I always keep meaning to listen to ELO, and I keep forgetting. This just reminds me again that I need to listen to more of their music.

(On a side note, I keep confusing ELO and LFO, which is no good at all.)

Heehee. I actually had to look up LFO. So see? We've both just broadened our musical horizons! Theoretically, if not actually.... :D (And may I recommend "The Diary of Horace Wimp" and "Telephone Line"? You might also consider avoiding "Roll Over Beethoven," which is the only ELO song I absolutely cannot stand.)
