no one can make me what you did
Day 23: A great sad, wallow-in-your-grief song
It's difficult to choose just one sad song. Each of my favorites strikes me a little differently, and when I'm in a sad sort of mood, any song can make me cry. There is one that gets me every time, though: "A Boy and His Frog" by filker Tom Smith. I think because it mourns a loss I still feel, and mourns it from such a poignant perspective, it can always touch me.

Absolutely. I need to explore more of Tom Smith's work, but this song holds such a sacred spot in my heart that I almost don't want to make room for more of his songs. Gah. This song.... I'd just finished watching Date Night before I started this entry, and I was so cheerful and giggly after watching it that I was convinced I wouldn't be able to find a song sad enough to make me feel anything. By the time I finished listening to "A Boy and His Frog," I was crying...and typing through the tears. :)

I say, start with this one! Is funny.

Then this one. Is poignant.
