Day 27: The musical instrument you'd love to play
I used to want to play the fiddle. That may sound as though I wanted to play the violin, but the classical music application left me distinctly less interested than the folk. So, really, I wanted to play the fiddle. Now, though, I'm a bit more inclined toward the cello. I like the way I can feel the music when listening to that instrument. But to be honest, I'd rather take dance lessons than learn to play an instrument: that's my favorite way of experiencing music.

I love how this led to Geico commercials. Also, fiddle and cello are both fun. Has czarina told you about Zoe Keating and her quantum cello? Kind of fun.

When done right, every conversation should come around to Geico commercials. :D And Czarina definitely has not told me about this quantum cello. Can I find info online, or is this more of a Czarina-only tale?

Oh, not at all. Zoe Keating is cellist who uses electronic sampling to layer the sound of her cello and make songs. It's cool because it's all just her and one cello, but it doesn't always seem like it.

I first heard about her on a Radiolab podcast and then found out that czarina knew about her too and had an album of hers.
