a used book smörgåsbord
Apparently, working in a library---where I have access to just about any book I might want---doesn't leave me immune to the appeal of Half Price Books. Today's visit with Elessar netted three of Patricia Briggs' novels and a beautiful, imported boxed set of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker Trilogy. It's such a delicious treat to simply buy the books I want; I'm so much more likely to eye them with longing and then wait weeks to check them out. Silly, I know, as they're hardly a strain on my wallet or my waistline, but I ration my book purchases like the richest, rarest of dark chocolates.

...Oh, and since I'm here: Happy Halloween, all!

You know, I think that makes the books that you do purchase that much more special.
