clusters of information
I finally got to check out the soundtrack for Tron: Legacy from the library, so I may or may not listen to that as I post today's quizzes. I also may or may not get a snack, as I'm suddenly ravenous. Quiz-taking is hungry work, I tell ya.... And since Sev is a little busy toasting cheesy bread over the fire, let me get the parchments together.

Raptor

Aren't you a clever one? Nearly everyone is scared of you. The ones who aren't generally end up as lunch. You like the finer things in life, like a good hunt, a good Triceratops steak, and a relaxing evening discussing the finer points of evolution in the Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods. Stomping around and biting everything in sight isn't your style. You are too classy for that. But still, who can resist a good chomping when the opportunity arises?
What Dinosaur Are You?

Triceratops is my favorite dinosaur---thanks mostly to Oliver Butterworth's The Enormous Egg---but this result is perfect for me. I do love a good hunt and a good steak and an evening filled with stimulating conversation. And, really, I'm a sucker for a good chomping. ROAR! And, uh, CHOMP!

You should learn Russian

What Language Should You Learn?

Not sure if I truly do possess the patience to learn Russian, but I would love to read Tolstoy in his native language. And I've always dreamed of being a red-headed Russian who only drives in reverse. ...Long story.

You Are an Ingrid!

You are an Ingrid - "I am unique"
Ingrids have sensitive feelings and are warm and perceptive

How to Get Along with Me
* Give me plenty of compliments. They mean a
lot to me.
* Be a supportive friend or partner. Help me to learn to love and value myself.
* Respect me for my special gifts of intuition and vision.
* Though I don't always want to be cheered up when I'm feeling melancholy, I sometimes like to have someone lighten me up a little.
* Don't tell me I'm too sensitive or that I'm overreacting!

What I Like About Being an Ingrid
* my ability to find meaning in life and to experience feeling at a deep level
* my ability to establish warm connections with people
* admiring what is noble, truthful, and beautiful in life
* my creativity, intuition, and sense of humor
* being unique and being seen as unique by others
* having aesthetic sensibilities
* being able to easily pick up the feelings of people around me
What's Hard About Being an Ingrid
* experiencing dark moods of emptiness and despair
* feelings of self-hatred and shame; believing I don't deserve to be loved
* feeling guilty when I disappoint people
* feeling hurt or attacked when someone misunderstands me
* expecting too much from myself and life
* fearing being abandoned
* obsessing over resentments
* longing for what I don't have

Ingrids as Children Often
* have active imaginations: play creatively alone or organize playmates in original games
* are very sensitive
* feel that they don't fit in
* believe they are missing something that other people have
* attach themselves to idealized teachers, heroes, artists, etc.
* become anti-authoritarian or rebellious when criticized or not understood
* feel lonely or abandoned (perhaps as a result of a death or their parents' divorce)
Ingrids as Parents
* help their children become who they really are
* support their children's creativity and originality
* are good at helping their children get in touch with their feelings
* are sometimes overly critical or overly protective
* are usually very good with children if not too self-absorbed

Are You a Jackie or a Marilyn...or Someone Else?

I believe this is basically an Enneagram test with the women's identities incorporated into the results. At least, the test seemed very familiar, and I want to say the results are the same sorts of things I always read when I'm researching my Enneagram. (I'm a 4 wing 5, by the way. Emotional and creative but with a tendency toward the scientific, logical, or intellectual.) But I love the idea of Ingrid Bergman as an Enneagram 4.

Quiz #1: Dinosaur?
RAPTOR!
ROAAARRRRRRR!!!
--
I loves these ones! And for all the reasons you cited. So, we need a bottle (or three) of wine and some good talking time. *sigh* Why are you soooo faarrrrrr aawwwwaaayyyyyyyy?

Quiz #2: Language?
GERMAN!
You should learn German. Although it is not a common language it is definitely a cool one. You are a cool type of person that likes to live in the moment. You always try to live life to its fullest.
--
I agree with the sentiments, but not the language. All those guttural growling throat hurting consonants just are not my thing. :)

Quiz #3: I am female, hear me roar! (What, it said I was a raptor...)
INGRID!
--
I like this description. I do get all anti-authoritarian. Dark moods that I don't necessarily want to be pulled out of, but do like a bit of support and a shoulder. Guilt when I feel I am disappointing someone. Creative. Love compliments. Unique. Humour.

RAWR!! (That's raptor for "Yay for Ingrid raptors!") And some wine and good talking time would BE SO NICE. ::kicks feet on the ground:: I hate being soooo faarrrr awwwwaaaayyy! As for German...sigh. I love German. Maybe I'm weird, but the growling seems more like purring to me, and I love the way my teeth click and slide over the consonants. But alas, my tongue has gotten lazy in my lack of injecting-random-German-into-conversations.

And then you say things like 'purr' and 'teeth clicking' and 'sliding' and now all of a sudden German seems like a lot more fun. :)

I always refer people to the movie The Red Violin when I'm talking about German. There's a scene that's entirely in German and, if I remember correctly, the sound of the language is sibilant and soft and really rather beautiful. Personally, I love saying z---it's pronounced "ts" and when it's paired with an umlauted o---as in the number 12, zwölf---so much fun! :D

I am such a dork.

We are both dorks, in our own way. And, I rather think, proud of it.

I'm a raptor too! Perhaps we can go around roaring and chomping together.

And I could see you learning Russian. Isn't сестра Russian? I could also see you speaking English with a Russian accent.

And I enjoyed the Ingrid result. I've never heard of the Enneagram test but am intrigued. I will have to look it up.

Cестра is indeed Russian. So, see? Perfect language for me to learn. And I do really, really enjoy speaking English with a Russian accent. Not that my accent is good, mind you, but I think that may be part of the fun. :) As for the Enneagram, I think it's mostly accurate. I don't really fear abandonment or long for what I don't have, but the other stuff is about right.
