such a loveable land
I think I'm going to have to start keeping track of superb on-screen kisses. I know there are a handful of kisses that have struck me as sublimely romantic or achingly sexy, but damned if I can remember them now. I mean, there are the kisses in A Room with a View, but I've seen that so many times, I *should* remember them. But...other ones? Sigh. If only I could recall.

Any come to mind? Maybe your list of favorite film kisses will help me remember mine.

This is a good project. I know I've seen some really good kisses, but damned if I can remember them right now, either! Another one of those situations where if you hadn't asked, I could probably list a dozen! (Is there a name for this phenomenon?) If I think of any, I'll let you know!

My dad would say it's a recall vs. recognition issue: recall---having to remember something when asked---is always harder than recognition---seeing or thinking of said thing spontaneously and realizing, "A-ha!" it's exactly what you were looking for. But I'm glad to know your keen mind is pondering the topic!

Some kisses I like:

- Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy at the end of "Bridget Jones's Diary," when they're outside and making out in the snow.

- Penelope and Max/Johnny at the end of "Penelope," before Johnny knows that the curse has been broken (when she is still wearing the mask).

Why can't I think of more right now? I don't know, because I'm definitely a sucker for a good kiss!

Ooh. I've seen both those movies, but I can't quite remember the kisses in them. I think I'll have to check 'em out from the library and watch them again. (Such a hardship.... :D)

And, yes! It's so hard to remember them! Grrr....
