my mind is like the starship enterprise!
I have purchased felt tip pens in varied and beautiful shades, abducted legal pads from a workplace---not mine---and have commenced taking copious notes on the following subjects:
  • porcelain and the making thereof
  • Baja California and the Sea of Cortes
  • landscape in the desert
  • salt marshes
Next weekend is slated for the study of bacteria, viruses, protozoa, fungi, and the immune system, with glass and its origins to be investigated once the books arrive. This writing a book thing is proving enormously mind-broadening. So many subjects to consider---I shall devour them all!

Why, thank you! Of course, I might also be a little obsessive. :) I'm not entirely convinced I *need* to study all these things, but somehow they do a really nice job of grounding me in the world I'm creating.
