the world, like, whoa...
I recently got new glasses---the first new pair I've bought in about fifteen years. They look great, but every time I wear them, I feel as if I'm on mushrooms or that soy sauce stuff from John Dies at the End. Everything feels soooo faaar awaaay...and it's all so tiny! I literally sit, look around me, and giggle. And I can't decide if this is because my old pair of glasses were a weaker prescription or if the type of lenses I bought warp the world or if I'm just really, really out of practice at wearing glasses. But if the point in buying them is so I can wear them to drive, I think I'd be better off tossing back a shot of tequila before I get behind the wheel.

I always love then hate and then love again getting a new pair of glasses. Love first because I'm excited to have a new look, then hate because I have a similar vision experience when I where them, then love again because once my eyes get used to the new prescription, I can see the world better. Though, if you're only wearing them to drive, it may take a little long for your eyes to adjust. At least you're enjoying your trip. :)

I'm trying to wear them a little each week because I know if I don't, I may never get used to them. And so far, I've noticed a bit of improvement in how my eyes adjust. I'll just have to hope I've completed my readjustment therapy before I'm actually required to wear them to drive!
