just a few things....
(One): I freakin' love umlauts.
(Two): The Storyteller is on DVD! Now for The Jim Henson Hour...?
(Three): Reading The Lord of the Rings aloud is becoming one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

My dad read The Hobbit to us kids - I was, maybe, 7 - at night, sitting in a rocking chair, us on the floor. My sister was too young to appreciate it, alas. But that remains one of my favorite young-childhood memories.

I think that's one of the best things about Tolkien. There are so many ways to enjoy him: reading alone, reading to others, having him read to you. No matter how you encounter his books, he just brings you right into that world, and you remember it for the rest of your life.
